Use the Unit Conflict Checker to compare a rotation's scheduled days and shift times with the shifts configured for the selected Unit. Review any conflicts before saving the rotation to help ensure the schedule aligns with the Unit's availability.


Review Unit Conflicts

Step 1: Open the Rotation

From the rotations table, click the "Edit" (pencil) icon for the rotation you want to review.

Step 2: Open the Unit Conflicts Tab

From the navigation panel, click "Unit Conflicts."

The Unit Conflict Checker compares the rotation's scheduled days of the week and shift times with the shifts configured for the selected Unit.

Step 3: Review Any Conflicts

Review any conflicts displayed in orange.

The Configured Unit Shifts are listed below the conflict summary, allowing you to compare the rotation schedule with the Unit's available shifts.

Below are the potential warnings the unit conflict checker may display:

  • Schedule is only partially covered by the configured shift ranges
    • The rotation schedule does not fall entirely within the timeframe of the unit's set shifts. To resolve, update the rotation shift start and/or shift end time.
  • Assigned students exceed the max allowed for shift
    • The number of students assigned to the rotation exceeds the unit's shift capacity. To resolve, update the number of assigned students.
  • No unit shifts confiured
    • Your clinical partner has not configured shifts on the selected unit.

If conflicts are identified, update the rotation schedule as needed, then save your changes. The unit conflict checker will show "covered" once there are no conflicts remaining.
